Frequently Asked Questions
What We Do And Who We Serve
What is From Alpha to Omega?
From Alpha to Omega (FATO) is a faith-based investment research platform built for Christian investors. We score companies and funds using our proprietary Omega Score, which measures how well a business aligns with Biblical values across three pillars: God's People, God's Planet, and God's Mission. Our goal is to give investors a clear, quantitative way to evaluate portfolio alignment, not just a pass-fail screen.
Who is this platform built for?
FATO is built for Christian retail investors who want to put their capital behind their convictions. Whether you are managing your own portfolio or using an advisor, our research tools are designed to make faith-based analysis accessible and rigorous.
How is this different from traditional biblically responsible investing (BRI) tools?
Most BRI tools flag categorical issues like tobacco, alcohol, or weapons and stop there. FATO goes further by scoring the holistic effect of a company through a weighted, multi-dimensional methodology. You get a 0-10 Omega Score with context, not just a red or green light.
Is this a financial advisory service?
No. From Alpha to Omega is a research and education platform. We provide investment research, scoring, and analysis tools. We do not manage money, provide personalized investment advice, or make buy or sell recommendations. Our content is educational, and all investment decisions remain with you or your advisor.
What types of investments can I research on the platform?
You can research individual stocks and funds. Our platform allows you to search company profiles, review Omega Scores, and compare fund alignment across our three-pillar framework. We are currently only covering equity securities.
How the Process Works
How do you calculate the Omega Score?
The Omega Score is a 0-10 scale that measures a company's alignment with biblical stewardship principles across God's People, God's Planet, and God's Mission. We source data from public disclosures, third-party data providers, and our own research, then run it through a trained AI model built on a human-analyzed sample set. We then apply a weighted scoring methodology to produce a final score.

What does each pillar of the Omega Score measure?
God's People covers how a company treats its employees, customers, and communities. God's Planet evaluates environmental stewardship, resource use, and sustainability practices. God's Mission examines whether the company's core business activities conflict with or support biblical ethics, including content, products, and supply chain conduct.
How do you score funds, not just individual stocks?
For funds, we calculate an aggregate Omega Score by pulling each fund's underlying holdings and weighting each company's individual Omega Score by its position size in the fund. This gives you a composite score that reflects actual weighted exposure, not just a sampling of top holdings.
How often are scores updated?
Scores are updated as events develop and are scanned regularly. We flag any material changes to a company's score as they occur so members stay informed.
Can I compare two funds against each other?
Yes. The platform includes a fund comparison tool that lets you evaluate two to four funds side by side using their Omega Scores. You can see how each fund stacks up across all three pillars and identify which best aligns with your values before investing.
What does a sample report look like?
Each company report includes the overall Omega Score, pillar-level breakdowns with commentary, supporting data, and top alternative companies to consider. Fund reports include the same scoring information without individual company commentary. Our free trial offers access to the top-scoring funds and stocks for a sample.

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and secure payment processing to protect your data. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Payments are securely processed through Stripe.
Where does your underlying data come from?
We pull from a combination of public company disclosures, SEC filings, third-party financial and ESG data providers, investigative journalism, our own proprietary research, and more. That data is analyzed through our trained AI model and scored using our weighted methodology.
How accurate is the AI scoring model?
Our AI model was trained on a human-analyzed sample set scored directly by our research team, and it is designed to replicate and extend that human judgment at scale.
